Setup Fitbit devices

This guide is for setting up Fitbit devices (that do not run Google WearOS) with Apple iPhone and Android devices.

Before you begin

To continue, you’ll need to have fully setup your Fitbit device and have the Fitbit app installed on your iPhone or Android phone - and signed into a Fitbit account. The Fitbit account is what will connect to the Converge App.

Connect Fitbit to iPhone

On iPhone, the Converge App connects directly to your Fitbit account. You can connect your Fitbit account by following these steps:

  1. In the Converge App, tap the Profile icon (image-20260309-000554.jpeg) from the home page of the app

  2. Tap Settings from the menu

  3. Tap Health App from the menu

  4. Tap Fitbit option

  5. You will then be taken to your web-browser to sign-in to your existing Fitbit account. Make sure to give permission to health data, steps, activity, etc., so that the Converge App can process this information for the Move challenge

On Android, you can choose to sync data either via your Fitbit Account or Google Health Connect account.
