Setup Fitbit devices
This guide is for setting up Fitbit devices (that do not run Google WearOS) with Apple iPhone and Android devices.
Before you begin
To continue, you’ll need to have fully setup your Fitbit device and have the Fitbit app installed on your iPhone or Android phone - and signed into a Fitbit account. The Fitbit account is what will connect to the Converge App.
Connect Fitbit to iPhone
On iPhone, the Converge App connects directly to your Fitbit account. You can connect your Fitbit account by following these steps:
In the Converge App, tap the Profile icon (
) from the home page of the app Tap Settings from the menu
Tap Health App from the menu
Tap Fitbit option
You will then be taken to your web-browser to sign-in to your existing Fitbit account. Make sure to give permission to health data, steps, activity, etc., so that the Converge App can process this information for the Move challenge
Connect Fitbit to Android
On Android, you can choose to sync data either via your Fitbit Account or Google Health Connect account.
Fitbit account:
In the Converge App, tap the Profile icon (
) from the home page of the app Tap Settings from the menu
Tap Health App from the menu
Tap Fitbit option
You will then be taken to your web-browser to sign-in to your existing Fitbit account.
Make sure to give permission to health data, steps, activity, etc., so that the Converge App can process this information for the Move challenge
Google Health Connect Account:
Open the Fitbit App
Go tot he Today tab
Tap the Gear/Devices icon
Select Health Connect and toggle on Sync with Health Connect
Follow the on-screen prompts to allow permission sharing for health data.
Then;
In the Converge App, tap the Profile icon (
) from the home page of the app Tap Settings from the menu
Tap Health App from the menu
Tap Health Connect option
You will then be taken to your web-browser to sign-in to your existing Fitbit account.
