Setup Garmin devices

This guide is for setting up Garmin devices with Apple iPhone and Android devices.


Before you begin

To continue, you’ll need to have fully setup your Garmin device and have the Garmin Connect app installed on your iPhone or Android phone - and signed into a Garmin Connect account. The Garmin Connect account is what will connect to the Converge App.

Connect Garmin Connect App to iPhone

On iPhone, the Converge App connects directly to your Garmin Connect account. You can connect your Garmin Connect account by following these steps:

  1. In the Converge App, tap the Profile icon (image-20260309-000554.jpeg) from the home page of the app

  2. Tap Settings from the menu

  3. Tap Health App from the menu

  4. Tap Garmin option

  5. You will then be taken to your web-browser to sign-in to your existing Garmin Connect account. Make sure to give permission to health data, steps, activity, etc., so that the Converge App can process this information for the Move challenge

Connect Garmin Connect to Android

On Android, you can sync data via your Garmin Connect Account.

Garmin account:

  1. In the Converge App, tap the Profile icon (image-20260309-000554.jpeg) from the home page of the app

  2. Tap Settings from the menu

  3. Tap Health App from the menu

  4. Tap Garmin option

  5. You will then be taken to your web-browser to sign-in to your existing Garmin Connect account.

Make sure to give permission to health data, steps, activity, etc., so that the Converge App can process this information for the Move challenge
