Lock the Converge App using device biometrics

The Converge App uses your device's native biometric authentication—TouchID or FaceID on iPhone/iPad, or biometrics on Android—to secure access. This gives you an easy way to sign in and protect the Converge App on your phone. You will still log in with your username (email) and password.

You can easily set this up in the Converge App by following the steps in this guide.

Setup Authentication

Before you get started, make sure:

  • You have the latest version of the Converge App installed. Go to the App store and search for “Converge” and tap “Update” if update appears. If you see “open” you have the latest version.

  • You have signed into your Converge account or registered. If you haven’t, tap “Login” and sign in using your existing credentials. If you need help, click here: https://convergeintl.atlassian.net/wiki/x/AYC_Nw

Open settings

  1. Once you are signed in, tap your initials or the person icon at the top right :App_Settings_Icon: to access the settings

  2. Then, under Account, tap On (toggle the switch) for “App Lock”

  3. You’ll then be asked by your device to confirm your biometrics (TouchID/Finger Print or FaceID / Facial scan).

Converge does not store or see your biometric data. Your phone authenticates your ID with scan of your biometrics, then confirms to the Converge App you have been authenticated. Make sure only your biometrics are registered on your device to prevent anyone else accessing the Converge App.

Remove authentication

If you need to remove your authentication, follow the steps below:

Open settings

  1. Once you are signed in, tap your initials or the person icon at the top right :App_Settings_Icon: to access the settings

  2. Then, under Account, tap off (toggle the switch) for “App Lock”

  3. You’ll then be asked by your device to confirm your biometrics (TouchID/Finger Print or FaceID / Facial scan) and after a successful authentication event, biometric authentication will be turned off.
