Important definitions
Garmin Connect Account
Your Garmin Connect account is required to sign in with in the Converge App. You are required to have a Garmin Connect account that is active and signed in on the Garmin Connect App for iPhone and Android.
Garmin Connect App
Your Garmin wearable or fitness tracker requires an active Garmin Connect account which is signed into the Garmin Connect App. The App connects to your Garmin device periodically to synchronise data or to manage data received wirelessly from your Garmin device.
Garmin app and account issues
Garmin devices are mostly used for tracking steps and some activity data - these devices do not normally sync data to your Phone or Garmin Connect App / Garmin connect account until your smartphone is nearby and connected with WiFi and/or Bluetooth; which means you won’t see steps activity data until your Garmin and your phone are syncing together.
To connect your Garmin to the Converge Connect App on your iPhone or Android device, you’ll need to download the Garmin Connect App on your phone and have a Garmin connect account.
Make sure you have downloaded the Garmin Connect App to your iPhone or Android device
Make sure you are signed into a Garmin Connect account on the Garmin Connect App on your iPhone or Android device
Make sure you are also signed into your Garmin Connect account in the Converge App: Setup Garmin devices
Syncing steps issues
Some Garmin devices mostly track steps, you need to have Bluetooth on your smartphone turned on and open the Garmin Connect App on your iPhone or Android device and sync the steps, or you need to connect your Garmin to WiFi It can take up to 10 minutes for the Garmin Connect App to sync to your iPhone or Android Garmin Connect App - once synced to your Garmin Connect App, your activity data will be uploaded to your Garmin Connect account which will then sync to any approved and connected Applications, like the Converge App.
Check all the below steps if you encounter any syncing issues
Make sure you have Bluetooth on your iPhone or Android device turned on
Make sure you have WiFi on your iPhone or Android device turned on
Make sure you open the Garmin App and wait up to 10 minutes in the App for the steps data to sync to the iPhone or Android Garmin Connect App (check this in the activity section of the App)
Wait up to another 10 minutes for this data to sync to your connected Garmin Connect account
It can take up to 48 hours for your activity data to sync to the Converge App from your Garmin Connect account or App.
Disconnect Garmin Connect account from the Converge App if you are continuing to experience issues and re-connect after. You can do this in the Converge App and then re-connect.
Delete the Converge App and re-download the Converge app if you continue to experience issues after following all the above recommended steps.
